I had a simialar experience with a pilot spot I booked, also through NYCastings. In fact, I don't remember a job, more specifically a PROFESSIONAL, PAYING job that I didnt' book through NYCastings. This site has been a priceless resource to me.

Adonis Basley recently shot a student film called "LIVE FREE" which the name was later changed to "BLACK GOLD" It is a Horror Movie about a boy who died 40 years ago in a house and haunts it. Adonis had to wear a afro wig so that he could look like a child of the 70's. it was so cool and he played an excellent ghost. There will be a screening of the movie in July In Manhattan

I am all about self promoting and marketing. NYCastings not only allows for your face to be seen. But is also a great means for submitting yourself in a time where the internet is crucial. I with the help of NYcastings, I have booked national and international ads, gained non-exclusive representation, and booked several modeling and acting jobs. I am also going to be heading to Hollywood/LA for a week at the end of June :)

I was cast in a pilot for the Sherry Shepard Show and I was recently cast in a featured role on the soon to be released HBO comedy show, "Flight of the Concords". I was cast as a lead in the feature film Cross to Canaan Valley. I have only been acting for 8 months and have done some short films and background work, but this is my first feature film. It is a demanding role - I play a 12 year old autistic boy. The rest of the cast and crew are great and I am learning a lot. I think I will get some good exposure and a lot of needed experience because of this film.
The director had to do several casting calls for this role. I was the 3rd to last actor auditioned and I got the part! I submitted myself the first time we saw the casting, but I didn't get called. Several weeks later, we saw an amended casting call and we resubmitted. The director called to schedule an audition and the rest is history. This is a great service. It is so easy to submit and I especially like the link to my own website, not one from the casting site. Thanks very much.
