All levels welcome. In this popular ongoing monthly workshop, the actor will learn what to expect in an on-camera audition, and what casting directors are looking for when casting speaking roles for tv and film. All actors will be given current tv and film scenes each week from shows like SMASH, UGLY BETTY, CRIMINAL MINDS, AND LAW AND ORDER (individually tailored to each actors strengths and weaknesses), and will be given tips and techniques to make their auditions stand out. Actors will learn how to walk into the audition with confidence, get over their nerves, bring their unique personality to the given text, make strong choices, and ultimately deliver a polished, professional audition. Actors will work with cold-reads and prepared scenes, and will learn about the casting process from pre-read to callback to booking. Actors can take the class as many times as theyd like. Class size is limited to 10 students, and is geared toward each individuals level, so actors receive maximum personal attention. Workshop will include both Q&A sessions and 2 scenes on camera each week. *ALL ACTORS RECEIVE A VIDEO OF THEIR SCENES EACH WEEK!
