Bio |
STEVEN T. WILLIAMS began dancing at the age of 9, when an organization decided to take children attending inner city schools and give them a sense of direction. Taking them off the street and into a dance studio. The program consisted training in Modern, Jazz,Tap, Ballet, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Voice, and more. They are called the National Dance Institute (NDI), founded by Jacques d’Amboise, of the New York City Ballet. His love for the arts continued to grow as he not only continued his education at NDI, but also attended the Theatre Department of LaGuardia H.S. for the Performing Arts. He went on to graduate from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz with a B.A. in both Technical and Performance Theatre, as well as post graduate work at the acclaimed Moscow Art Theatre. Performing has always been at the forefront of Steven’s life. He has had the opportunity to work alongside many actors, artists, choreographers, and dancers alike. All of whom have inspired him and the lives of others. Some of his credits include projects for Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, Jamie-Lynn, and many others. He has done commercials for Pepsi (Vanilla) & iPod, and was in the Off-Broadway production of The Harlequin Studies, starring Bill Irwin. He recently came off tour with Cirque Du Soleil’s production of Banana Shpeel. Mr. Williams looks forward to expanding his newly formed company, FITTED SOLE PRODUCTIONS, d.b.a., through outlets such as Sound Engineering, Graphic Design, Book Publishing, Artist Development and more. He enjoys picturing the company as a customization of the arts and of life. ***Currently, Steven has been through a series of illegal circumstances where he has been forced to reside on the street. He needs help to attain his dreams and further his company and career.*** Steven’s passion for expression will endure through all trials of life, which he hopes to express within his own art. He considers a classroom full of students as a canvas and a teacher as its painter. “Let’s make Art!”
