REEL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OV9StkepN4
AWARDS:
-Best Iberoamerican Actress. 30 Guadalajara International Film Festival 2015.
- Best Actress at Gramado Film Festival 2015.
- Adolfo Llaurado Award to the young actor of the year, La Habana, Cuba 2015.
REVIEWS:
Karla had changed. She has a clean relationship with Julio now, she is pregnant, she has a new way to see the world (The young actress Claudia Muiz is very well: from the obliquity and severity she turns to a candid, truthful, frontal glance), and she even changes the way she looks. Rufo Caballero, Juventud Rebelde.
Co-screenwriter and lead actress, Claudia Muiz, takes much of the credit for creating this low-fi fairy tale inspired more by Cinderellas wicked step-sisters than by the more virtuous protagonist. Mary Angelica Molina, Remezcla.
Venecia follows three friends/hairdressers (Maribel Garcia Garzn's Mnica, Claudia Muniz's Violeta, and Marianela Pupo's Mayelin) as they finish an average workday and head out for a night of fun (...) the girls' frank conversation about relationships and sex, which segues into a revealing game of "I Never," possessing an authenticity that's difficult to resist. David Nusair, Reel Film Reviews. |
