Project Description: Command-Option-Esc-Self is an experimental and narrative short film that will follow a transgender protagonist, Jay Rashid's two-day journey through a New York City mental hospital.
The film will gradually start to blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will lead to a somewhat devastating climax.
Casting Date: TBD
Rehearsal Dates: Will be held the first weekend of Nov.
Shoot Dates: TBD. Mid Nov. for 3-day shoot
Location: Filming will take place in Manhattan and Jackson Heights, Queens and will be a 3-day shoot.

Must be a transgender or genderqueer person of color (masculine or feminine) to be considered for this role.
ZIGGY |
Male | African-American, Asian, Hispanic, Mid-East-Indian, Multi-Ethnic | Age: 30 - 45 | Role Type: SupportingA laidback and easygoing character. Ziggy is a man who possesses a slacker attitude and is the film's comic relief. He does not care much about his physical upkeep and adorns hospital scrub wear for the duration of the film.
NURSE |
Female | Any Ethnicity | Age: 30 - 45 | Role Type: SupportingExtremely uptight and rude character. Nurse is the main overseer of the mental hospital lounge area and is out to make the patient's lives in the hospital to be as terrible as possible.
DOCTOR MASON |
Male | Any Ethnicity | Age: 35 - 40 | Role Type: SupportingA strict, yet reasonable sounding man. Dr. Mason makes a short appearance in a tension-filled scene, where he reveals a contradictory decision to the protagonist, Jay.
