After the sudden passing of his wife children's songwriter Stan Richard Kind finds himself in state of shock. As he endures the funeral and shiva he slowly begins to hear music and see phantom musicians all of which seem to be figments of his imagination. When he finally shuts the door on the last of his guests he finds himself face to face with the absurd manifestation of his grief in the form of a 20 piece punk rock marching band. Shaken and mostly confused Stan tries to ignore the ceaseless presence of the band but the harder he tries to avoid them the more invasive they become. The band slowly eclipses everything in Stan's life leaving him helpless and overwhelmed. Unable to escape the 24/7 mad-cap racket that surrounds his every thought Stan must figure out a way to escape his grief and return to his normal life soundtrack free.
